"Kâ! Sirène des terres" is a dance solo by Karine Dahouindji, in which she uses movement, voice, and imagination to explore themes of healing, ancestral connections, and resilience following her breast cancer journey.

Kâ! Sirène des Terres was born from Karine Dahouindji's journey through breast cancer. Tormented by the phantom limb syndrome, she draws a parallel with her parents' homeland, Benin. She thus opens the doors to her roots and to what is lost, imagined, fantasized, and wonders what legacy her ancestors passed on to her beyond this suffering genetics.
Through her body, her voice, and her imagination, she builds bridges to communicate with her ancestors. This performance is a deep journey through time, a tribute to the resilience of her body, and an exploration of healing through darkness and transgenerational memories.
